When I came across these music videos, I knew I would have to share them with as many people as possible. I have never heard science sound so beautiful. This is such a great collection of wise words...and I hope there are more in the making. This is one project that I am strongly considering donating towards. Do yourself a favor and listen to them all. Trust me.

I can honestly say that these few songs have inspired me. I feel connected to everything in a manner that I never have; it's almost elation.
ReplyDeleteI plan on picking up my studies where they left off so that my understanding of the natural world can be furthered.
We are all connected.
To what do you attribute that connectedness? To me it seems to be something more on a spiritual level...
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing spiritual about it Dan. The connectedness I speak of is natural and physical. It's taking the time to recognize that we are connected to all living beings on earth biologically, to our biosphere chemically and to all life and universal phenomenon on an atomic level.
ReplyDeleteEvolution is a fact. The scientific theory is sound and the fossil record keeps growing and becoming more accurate in mapping our progression to homo-sapiens. When I look at other living creatures I try to take note of more of our similarities rather differences.
The Chemical makeup of our planet has directly impacted our physiology. We can only derive nourishment from what the planet has to offer. I am tied into this planet on a very intimate level. My chemical makeup is provided by the pale blue dot revolving around our sun.
Being related to my universe atomically is probably the most exciting to me. Matter cannot be created, nor destroyed. Knowing this, it is mind boggling to know that I have consumed the atoms that once made up someone or something that changed the course of natural history. "We're made of star stuff". How exciting is it to know that? Events in our solar system, in our universe, disperse atoms when notable events occur. I love knowing that some of them have travelled to Earth and are a part of all of us.
To me, these concepts are more beautiful than the writings of any Holy Books. They are verifiable truths. Nobody has to take a leap of faith to accept these truths; the science is solid.
